Web Site Assignment, Fall 2000

Your goal is to choose a school class, activity, or trip and create a website for it. In the process, you will learn how to create and manage webs, as well as use the more advanced features in FrontPage 2000. The basic requirements for any web site are on the Web Site Development page and the web site must meet all of the middle school technical standards. 

The final product will be scored using the scoring rubric. You will develop your website in the http://msmmedia.asij.ac.jp/website folder in your own folder. Use the web page checklist to check your files after you are finished. Discuss the web site with your sponsor and ask them these questions.

Task 1

• Create a common page showing your understanding of good and poor development techniques based on pages you have looked at.
• Examine the middle school technical standards and the Web Site Development page.
• Examine the scoring rubric.
• Determine which activity might be appropriate
• Plan the activity based on the Web Site Development page criteria
• Discuss that activity with teachers involved
