for it. In the process, you will learn how to create and manage webs, as
well as use the more advanced features in FrontPage 2000. The basic requirements
for any web site are on the Web Site Development
page and the web site must meet all of the middle
school technical standards.
The final product will be scored using the scoring
rubric. You will develop your website in your folder at http://asijonline.net/multimedia/s01/website. Use the web page
checklist to check your files after you are finished.
First:
Then:
- Choose a topic and get my approval. If this is for a class or activity,
you must also get the approval of the teacher AFTER talking with me. Your
project is approved only when it is listed in assignments page.
- Study the Web Site Development
page. In a separate file write the results for Determine the Audience,
Define the Goal, and Define the Scope. Save the file in the
website folder as "initals_development_scope.htm" You must
get my approval on these to continue.
- Determine what information you will need and make a list of it. Use
Inspiration to brainstorm if it helps. Organize the list into logical units,
and show what text or graphics are also needed. Save it in website as
"initials_information_required.htm"
- On paper, develop a sketch for each page in your web and create the
navigation structure for the web. Show this to me and get my approval.
- Develop your web, following the middle
school technical standards and keeping up with the web page
checklist.
- Check in with your sponsor and show them the page.
- After proofing your website, have another student score your website so
that you will know what you need to modify.
- Discuss the web site
with your sponsor and ask them these questions.
