Reflection Guide

Reflections

Reflecting on your learning is an important part of your growth. Below are several sample reflections. Discuss them and rate them according to the Reflection Rubric. As you look at these, think about how your reflections will help show how you meet the Student Learning Outcomes. Questions to think about are: Do you know what the student was thinking? Do you know

Reflection A

So far in explorations 1 we have learned many things. One thing we have learned to do is use a digetal camera. We took the pictures that we took with the digetal camera then we edited them on Adobe photoshop elements. We also learned how to open files with JPG, GIF and BMP. We are now working on a scanner project. We just opened our own accounts on the Co- Web.

Reflection B

The week we started a new project, and it is called creat a book! I had to search a lot on the internet to find a good book, and a book that I knew. I ended up doing Peter Pan, and this was one of the only ones that I knew that was on that website. The other books were disney ones, and I didn't like their stories, so I just did Peter Pan. I learned a lot about things you can do on word. About styles, replacing, finding, saving, and formatting. I am scared because a lot of my friends in my class are losing all their data, and mine is totally fine. I had trouble with numbering pages, and how to make it like a book. I think that this project will show me a lot about word, and I think that I will learn a lot about computer programs from this assignment.

Reflection C

I think that I have learnt quite a bit in the last three classes. I've never really known what styles are, and I never knew what project gutenburg was. I think that I have been a self-directed, productive learner, especially for project gutenburg. Since my computer kept crashing at school, I finished finding and changing ^p^p, ^p, and ||| at my house. That really helped me catch up to where others were in the project. By doing this tri-class reflection, I am also reflecting on personal goals like a self-directed learner does. I deffanitly know more about computers now then I did at the beginning of the year!

Reflection D

For the past few classes, we have been creating a book. We used some features on Microsoft Word like page break, header and footer, and making table of contents. I chose the story "Wizard of Oz". When I didn't know how to do something, I posted my question on the co-web, and for some questions I asked 3 other people if they knew the answer. And once I got the answer, I memorized how to do it so that it'll help me when I need the same thing another time, and so that I would be able to show how to do it to other people. First I saved the text document on my directory, and I changed it to the word document format so that I could edit some things. So, now I know how to change some other document to another. I also got to know how to do the headers. I didn't use and I didn't know this feature till this explorations class. I also got to know how to make a table of contents and I thought this would help me with some of the projects I do for other classes. I found many other features on Microsoft Word by doing this project and I think it really helped me.

Reflection E

I talked about the difference bewteen jpeg bmp and giff. I now no which one I should use for pictures, text and other things. I have taken pictures with a digital camera. This will help me get better on focusing on one thing or many it depends what kind of affect you want. I will soon be learning to scan things.
