Second Quarter Self-Assessment

Explorations students, it's time for you to justify what you have been doing the second quarter. For this assessment, we will focus on two of the Student Learning Outcomes:

Critical Thinkers and Problem Solvers who…

  • apply creativity and persistence, and develop awareness of their own thinking, in defining problems and developing strategies to solve them.
  • demonstrate flexibility in thinking.

Self-Directed, Productive Learners who…

  • seek personal excellence in intellectual, artistic, practical and physical endeavors.
  • independently pursue learning.
  • set, achieve and reflect on personal and collective goals.

In your reflection, tell what you have done in this class to seek personal excellence and independently pursue learning, and tell why your actions meet in the criteria. In particular, tell what you have done that you have not done before. This last is particularly crucial for Explorations II and III students.

Exploration I Students: Link to specific pages in your digital portfolio. Use your reflections and peer assessments to help guide you.

Explorations II and III Students: II and III students, in your summary, please link to significant work and tell me why it is significant.

Create a Tri-Class reflection today and use the following titles in it:

Learning Self-Assessment and Reasons:

In this section you will address each of the bullet points for your chosen grade. Link to the evidence II and III students! Exploration I students need to refer to your projects or assignments, or Tri-Class reflections. If you write less than three paragraphs, you have not adequately explained your reasons. In particular, tell what you have done this quarter, and what you have learned, that you have not done before.

My Quarter Grade:

Put your letter grade here. Use + and - if you feel caught between two grades.

My Quarter Effort:

Put the letter effort here. Your choices are G (good), S (satisfactory), or U (unsatisfactory).  Your self-assessment and reasons above should support whichever effort grade you feel you deserve. Note:  Plus or minus on the letter effort is not supported by our report card system.

Please bold-face the titles by using the <b></b> tags. For linking to your CoWeb pages, please use the <a></a> tags. You may cut and paste the following to make bold-facing a little easier, but you may want to compose in a word processing program:
