Exploring Programming is a one semester course offered at the Middle School of the American School in Japan. It is designed for students who have the skills equivalent to those taught in the Middle School Tech Skills course who want to explore programming computers. The course was offered for the first time in the fall of 1999. Because the intent behind the course is to explore programming, students will start with Microsoft Excel, move to a Logo program, then finish the semester with Microsoft Visual Basic. The Course Overview and the Course Description give more detail. |
